# QUESTION

Write a small program that allows a user to divide two numbers (i.e., a fraction). Your program should: a. Be saved as a python file (name it appropriately) b. Contain a function performing the division and display operations with certain conditions: i. When the user enters 0 as denominator and runs the program, the on-screen display should be: Error – You cannot divide by 0. Please choose an appropriate denominator. ii. Otherwise, the user must see on screen something in the form: “my 1st number”/“my 2 nd number” = “my answer”. E.g., say, the user’s numbers are 1 and 2. The program should display: 1/2 = 0.5

…I am completely stuck on this, I have tried many different methods of code which just isn’t working for me, I get one part of it to work and then the next part does not. Please can somebody help? any tips would be appreciated.

Hi there,

Here is an example code that should cover all of the requirements:

def devide(num1, num2):

    if num1 == 0 or num2 == 0 :
      print("Please choose anappropriate denominator")
    else:
      result = num1 / num2
      print(f"{num1} / {num2} = {result}")

devide(10,5)

Hope that this helps. Regards, Bobby
