Backup pricing seems very clear to me, but snapshot pricing is a bit confusing. You state that: “The price for snapshots will be $0.02 per GB of snapshot storage.”
I wish to know that will I be charged $0.02 per GB every time I create a snapshot, what if I delete my existing snapshot and create another. I mean to say, will that price be charged every time I create a snapshot, or I can “buy” a specific snapshot storage so if I create snapshot again after deleting the first one, I won’t be charged.
Please clarify this. Thanks.

It’s been awhile, but I just wanted to provide an update on how snapshot storage pricing works. Beginning October 1, 2016, snapshot storage will be $0.05 per gigabyte per month. Like our other features, this is broken down hourly, and the bill is based on the size of the compressed snapshot, not the total disk space allocated to the Droplet. So you only pay for what you use.
@Bartek: We’ll make sure all customers are aware when we start charging for snapshots :] We’re currently not charging for snapshots.
