hey there, I understand the price of getting space on digital ocean. Its starts from $5 per month. I saw in your FAQs it is said that after certain amount of transfer you charge $0.02. What does this exactly mean ? Do you mean by x number of page view ? Will i end up paying more then $5 / month at any time?
My primary purpose of using digital ocean will be blogging on ghost platform and play with servers.

Apart from above questions I also need some info about your support to any other hosting company. Like for example if I want to start a hosting business can I access or use your servers through your APIs to provide the service to our customers. Basically on a high level can I provide the same service like you using your APIs?

Please let me know and eager to hear from you.

  1. After you reach the bandwidth limit for the plan you have purchased, additional traffic is billed at $0.02 per gig. If you go 10 gigs over your limit as specified in your plan, you will be charged $5.20 for the month (5$ base price + 0.20$ bandwidth.)
  2. You are not limited by page view, traffic is measured by-the-byte.
  3. The plan costs $5 USD. Exchange rates may apply. Bandwidth charges may apply.
  4. Digital Ocean supports Ghost OK.
  5. You can use the API system to interact with your account, this includes creating droplets, destroying, renaming, resizing, etc. Check the API documentation for more information.
  • hi there, thank you for your response. what do you mean by bandwidth limit ? are you referring to space allocated of 20GB for $5 price tag ? can you please let me know on this.

    Thanks much ,

  • The $5 plan includes 1TB of data transfer each month. This is the total of your incoming and outgoing bandwidth on the public interface. If you go over this 1TB allocation you are then charged for each additional GB at $0.02.
