Root password not emailed

Hey guys, I created a droplet 5 minutes ago and I still haven't received the root password. and yes, I have checked the spam folder. Is this normal?

If you've added SSH keys, you will not receive a root password. In that case you can only connect via SSH key pairs. If you did not enable SSH keys, and you still haven't received your password please open a support ticket:
No I haven't added any ssh keys yet. Did a password reset just now and both emails arrived at the same time.

I just had this problem too, but even after creating the second droplet all it did was send me the first email that never seemed to arrive without following up with a second email. So the password form the first email fails in the second droplet. Is this something that happens regularly?

I too experienced this problem with initial creation of the droplet. However, resetting the droplet’s root password triggered the email.

Until the issue is fixed, try this:

  1. create your droplet
  2. goto > Droplets > Access
  3. Reset Root Password

Check your email, you should have received the access password. At least I did.
