Setting up MX Records for google apps

Hello,

I configured the google apps mx records under the dns menu. However, when I do a mxlookup i cant see any records associated with my domain. Also I cannot receive any e-mails.

I am waiting for them to be active but I have been waiting more than a day.

Here are my dns records,

  • I would give it a full 24 hours before panicking. Usually it takes less time than that, but just to save myself the headache I always make my DNS changes..sleep on it...check later then next day...give it more time..until a full 24 hours have passed. Then I make new edits..save, wait some more...etc.

    Here are my MX records from a functional Google Apps account that have been working for two years. It looks like I have a few extra entries that you do not. These may be unnecessary, but just for comparison:

        MX  10 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX  20 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX  20 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX  30 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
    MX  30 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
    MX  30 ASPMX4.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
    MX  30 ASPMX5.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.

Looking at the screenshot provided, it looks like your records are set correctly. The hadn't yet been pushed live. DigitalOcean was experiencing an issue affecting the DNS system where records were slow to update. This should be resolved now.

Hi, I wanna know if the slow to update DNS problems were already solved, or how many hours will it take to get the MX working, I'm in charge of company email and I wanna migrate to digital ocean, thanks.
