I do not want to switch the name server as my emails are running there only want the website to be runn on droplet.

Update was done and not website is showing IP address in address bar and not Domain name.

I have another droplet as well where i updated Name servers and there is not issue but in this case its not working.

In DNS on Digital Ocean

I have A Record @ to point to IP address

A @ 192.1.1.1

I also created one more A record domainname.com - IP address

and Created CNAME like

www - @

    • @

I tried this but its not working for me, I am experiencing the same issue

^^ Extending on Pablo’s comment with something simple:
Use

nano /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/default

to edit the default website file.

Check the contents of Apache’s
sites-enabled
folder, i.e.
ls /etc/apache2/sites-enabled

Then look to see what’s listed as the
ServerName
and
ServerAlias
, i.e.
cat /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/[file]

Hi Pablo,

I am using ubantu and with Ready made LAMP stack in digital ocean.

Thanks,
Avdhesh
