I have a subdomain pointing to digital ocean and the app that is running from that subdomain needs to be able to send email. The initial emails are not going through so I am told I need to add SPF and DKIM records.
Can someone let me know what I need to add to my DNS records in WHM that will allow me to send email from the app on digital Ocean?
The current error in my Discourse log file is: “Job exception: hostname “mail.mydomain.com” does not match the server certificate”

Hello, @jmf421
You need to make the DNS changes from where you manage the DNS zone for your domain name. If your domain name is using Digital Ocean’s nameservers than you need to make the change from the control panel.
Enable SPF and DKIM record from your cPanel interface.
Login to your cPanel account.
Scroll down and select the ‘Authentication icon’ from the e-mail category.
You can do this via WHM as well, just go to list accounts and click Modify Account and then enable SPF and DKIM
cPanel will automatically add the records for you and then you’ll just need to wait for the DNS to update which can take up to 48 hours due to DNS Cache.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Regards, Alex
