I have a PremiumDNS service of a domain with Namecheap. So what are the specific host records to set up (e.g. A records, CNAME records, etc.) to connect my domain name from Namecheap with Digital Ocean droplet?

generally - here a good explanation of DNS records: https://ns1.com/resources/dns-records-explained

-> if you just want to point your whole domain to the server - best go with a A record using *.domain.com or @.domain.com . Note - that only applies when you keep the DNS hosted with namecheap. Depending on what service you run on your droplet, you many need additional records. But this varies by the service.

Here a good alternative to make your life easier: in case you are looking for a good lightweight management environment for multiple domains and websites on DigitalOcean, give the Plesk one-click app a try: https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/apps/plesk . It is integrating with DigitalOcean’s DNS at one click. But in that case, you need to use ns1.digitalocean.com and ns2.digitalocean.com as your name server for your domain.
