@andrew.wigham: Yes, that is possible.

I am also waiting for Amsterdam servers, and have other question, can you provide links to 100mb files in each datacenter? Would be nice to tesk all datacenters by ping, wget, etc.
Thanks!

Hey guys, Is it possible to spin up on NY then when AMS becomes available again, will I be able to create an image and move it over?

Official Response

High demand has lead to filling capacity and we’re working on adding more space. No ETA, stay tuned.

I have been waiting on the Amsterdam data center, but I too also the SFO disappear from the control panel. An update from DO, without having to open a support ticket, would be nice.

It has been about 2 weeks now and I am still waiting to start my first droplet. In fact today I saw Amsterdam (and even San Francisco) totally disappeared from control panel choices. I don’t know what it going on. THERE IS NO CREDIBLE NEWS OR UPDATES FROM DO. I will be waiting for another 1-2 days and then I will have to go back to linode. Being in London I just don’t want to have my droplet located in US.

@Kamal That means another max 1 week from now. Is that on track? I am waiting for AMS1 for a 1GB droplet.

Thanks for the reply. Quote from an other topic: We’re waiting for new hardware to arrive. ETA ~1-2 weeks.

Any chance of being slightly more specific so I can plan it in?
