Which CentOS ISO should I download to match DO Image ?

Posted on September 11, 2014

Hello,

Since I am total Linux noobe, so I want to replicate the exact setup (in my local PC) which I have in my droplet here in DO… Yes, I know, it cant be 100% same but want to go as close as possible so that I can try things locally to test before implementing things in live server…

I went to CentOS download page and there I am bit confused as I find quite a few install ISO available. Namely,

CentOS-6.5-i386-netinstall.iso CentOS-6.5-i386-minimal.iso

CentOS-6.5-i386-bin-DVD1.iso CentOS-6.5-i386-bin-DVD2.iso

CentOS-6.5-i386-LiveDVD.iso CentOS-6.5-i386-LiveCD.iso

Which one do I need to download ??

Thanks…

Hi!

The images provided by DigitalOcean are pretty bare bones. Using the “minimal” ISO will give you something pretty similar.
