Question

Why don't my images don't show outside of a browser? (i.e Apple Mail)

I host images on my droplet and use them in my email newsletters. However, the images in the newsletter do not show up outside of browsers.

For example, if I log into my Gmail account and view the email in Chrome, all is well. That same email on Apple Mail is a broken link.

This is how I write the HTML image code:

<img src=“http://www.corneliusquiring.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/img_5277.jpg” alt=“” width=“1600” height=“1068” class=“alignnone size-full wp-image-4610” srcset=“http://www.corneliusquiring.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/img_5277.jpg 1600w, http://www.corneliusquiring.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/img_5277-250x167.jpg 250w, http://www.corneliusquiring.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/img_5277-768x513.jpg 768w, http://www.corneliusquiring.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/img_5277-700x467.jpg 700w, http://www.corneliusquiring.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/img_5277-120x80.jpg 120w” sizes=“(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px”>

This is odd. The format of your img tag appears to be correct and the URLs do load images of the appropriate sizes. Do you have the “display remote images in html messages” option checked in apple mail’s configuration? Without this option enabled, Apple Mail will not display remotely hosted image files like this.
