There’s not enough info to go on. But one more thing to check is phpinfo() on the server where the plugin is causing issues. See if perhaps there are disabled functions (disable_functions = ) that are preventing the plugin from running successfully.
Also, check the error_log file for clues if any.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I ended up finding through the error_log there was a .htaccess file lingering in the plugin directory which was causing the issue.
