Windows VPS option on Digital Ocean?

Given the great service ( stability, speed, reliability, customer support) from Digtal on their current servers, do thinkits possible to have all of this for a windows VPS option some timein the future?

  • It looks like they have FreeBSD, so I wouldn't be surprised if Windows might come up later on. I suppose that the questions that would come up would be related to customer-demand, licensing, and Windows-specific support. It is possible that there might infrastructure-related concerns as well.

I should mention that I am just an average-joe Digitial Ocean user, so I don't have any particular insight on DO's future plans.

  • I could use a Windows droplet. I have a large C# project that I'm trying to port to Mono but I fear it's not worth the effort. While I could use a third-party to host the Windows node you loose the private network features.

  • The main issues are cost I guess, since Windows would need more resources and lisences.
Maybe for Windows a dedicated server would be a more viable option?
