404 error page instead of default nginx welcome page?

Question

I just hosted two website by following below link. https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-django-with-postgres-nginx-and-gunicorn-on-ubuntu-18-04

Every things working fine. Both websites are running smoothly. But here I’m getting one problem, that is, When I search IP address in the browsers, Im getting 404 error page instead of default nginx welcome page. and also I can only able to access my website using custom domain name even I add ip address in server name.

I didn’t touch any default configurations of nginx

Hello, You can double check the Nginx configuration file and see if something have changed. All Nginx configuration files are located in the /etc/nginx/ directory. The primary configuration file is /etc/nginx/nginx.conf You can see if the root is pointing to different directory: # Default server configuration # server { listen 80 default_server; listen [::]:80 default_server; root /var/www/html; # Add index.php to the list if you are using PHP index index.html index.htm index.nginx-debian.html; server_name _; location / { } If the root is pointed to different directory you can adjust it according to your needs.
