404 Errors - LEMP and Wordpress

Posted on July 7, 2018

I installed LEMP with the one click install and then installed wordpress using this guide: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-wordpress-with-lemp-on-ubuntu-16-04

Unfortunately, I’m getting 404 errors on permalinks.

Here is my /etc/nginx/sites-available/default file http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/VCcdw6Rbtv/

the site is strongmanhub.com

Hello friend!

You will need to do just a bit more configuration to be able to use permalinks with Nginx. This handles itself with Apache as Wordpress writes the instructions to a .htaccess file, but Nginx does not read that and instead will require manual adjustment. I found a guide that should help you to complete it:
