Adding LAMP stack to a droplet with Ubuntu

Posted on June 2, 2020

I have created a droplet with Ubuntu - how do I add LAMP stack? Do I have to create a new droplet where I add Ubuntu and LAMP at the same time (did not find the options obvious) or I can add the package on droplet with Ubuntu already installed (preferred) and may I know how to? Trying to avoid manual install of each of LAMP.

Hello, @db95054

What you can do is to spin a new droplet using the marketplace one-click install for the LAMP stack. You can find more info here:

https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/apps/lamp

The other option will be to install it manually by following our tutorials for Ubuntu 18 or 20

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-linux-apache-mysql-php-lamp-stack-on-ubuntu-20-04

The process is really simple and you basically need to follow the listed steps.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Regards, Alex
