Allow customer to set monthly billing Cap

Please can we introduce a way to cap billing. Currently there is only email alerts. However say some unfortunate circumstance occurs and your hacked there should be a limit to billing.

I think without this then Digital Ocean would put them in a situation where they might have to cover the hacked billing. Its in both customers and Digital Oceans interest to have this feature.

The best thing to do to get your voice heard regarding this would be to head over to our Product Ideas board and post a new idea, including as much information as possible for what you’d like to see implemented.

In the meantime I could suggest a few things to make sure that you protect yourself:

  • Use a strong password.

  • Enable alerts as you already mentioned, that way you will be able to take action as early as possible.
