Anyone hosting a HumHub site here

Is anyone hosting a HumHub site on Digital Ocean? If so, what are its memory and cpu requirements like for a small system?

Hi @YurkshireLad,

This really depends on the traffic you are gonna get. The minimum requirements are really easy to cover, it’s something like:

RAM :

  • 64 MB Disk space :
  • 500 MB for the applications
  • 100 MB for the database

All of the requirements are actually available with the cheapest droplet. Now, when the traffic hits this is where it gets tough to pinpoint. I’ve tested the application and I can confirm the smallest droplet was enough for me. Anyway, DigitalOcean does offer upgrades at any time so this is a plus.

My recommendation, start with the smallest droplet and gradually upgrade it when needed.
