Azuracast - How Many Concurrent Listeners on $5 Droplet

Posted on February 20, 2021

How many concurrent can I expect to handle on a $5 droplet? Our primary stream is only 64kbps and I see the bandwidth allowed is 1tb, however I doubt this is the only concern on server resources.

Hi there,

As far as I can see from the official documentation, it is recommended to have at least 2GB RAM:

https://docs.azuracast.com/en/getting-started/requirements

Also, on that same page there are some instructions on how to test the maximum number of connected listeners:

https://icecast.org/loadtest/1/

Hope that this helps. Regards, Bobby
