Backups Haven't Run in Almost Two Weeks

I have a one gigabyte droplet (in the NYC2 region, if it matters), with Automatic Backups turned on. For some reason, the backups went from running approximately ever two days, it has not run for about 12 days. I have not changed any settings in the control panel. There has not be any software change on the droplet, either.

Is there some potential cause I am not aware of? Would toggling it off, and back on be possible, and if so, helpful?

  • I too have seen this issue on NYC2 region. I would submit a ticket so the DO team knows of the issue.

That does sound like there might be an issue. Please open a support ticket. That way the team can investigate it for you.

In general, that's the best course of action if you suspect there is a problem on the DigitalOcean side. That's what the support team is there for!

My last one is from 12 days ago...

I have the same problem. I returned from vacation and noticed there has been zero backup done during my absence.

I contacted the support a few days and they triggered a manual backup (successfully). It seems they have to fix an issue about backups but I'll have to wait a few more days to see if automatic backups do work again (or not).

It's been 12 days too for our droplets in SFO.

I have some from 3 days ago now, seems to be all better.

Same problem here!

I am paying for backups, but they don't happen "automatically" unless I submit a ticket, this is ridiculous! We need an ETA for actually FIXING this problem.
