For my work, I’ve been asked to find a new hosting provider, since our current one doesn’t fit the bill for the work we need done. However, we will be maintaining the domain name and some hosting on the old server. So I’m trying to figure out it I can map one or more subdomains from this external service (site5, to be exact) to a digital ocean droplet. The reason for the ‘one or many’ is that for now, there will only be one subdomain pointing to the droplet, but down the line, we might host other services on this droplet that will be pointed at by different subdomains.
