Can I run multiple WordPress sites *and* a node.js app on one VPS?

I need to host my new Ghost install on node.js, which generally requires a VPS. But I need to transfer all my WordPress sites over in order to justify the expense. Can I do all this on one $5/mo. VPS server account?

Yes, you can:

  1. Follow https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/initial-server-setup-with-ubuntu-12-04

  3. Create a user for the nodejs app
  4. Finally, follow https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-set-up-nginx-virtual-hosts-server-blocks-on-ubuntu-12-04-lts--3 for every Wordpress website


Assuming you've done everything correctly, everything should be working fine.
