I successfully set up a subdirectory in lemp + wordpress like this: domain.com/it - but, is there any way to replace the “/” with a “dot” - to look like this domain.com.it ?

Could I suggest maybe a subdomain setup, such as it.domain.com/fr.domain.com, this is easily doable with nginx and even if using a service like letsencrypt to secure said sub domains. Although /fr etc also works fine. If you need help, dont be afraid to contact me. :)
