Can't solve a Server error problem

Posted on July 14, 2014

Hey there. I have been trying to move one of my wordpress sites.

Now I have followed the instructions for migrating from a shared hosting to DO.

Also setup an ftp account and SSL and all that cool stuff.

Now, while everything work perfectly fine and all. It’s limited to my laptop only. Also, I can only access my wp-admin area.

So the issue is as follows.

  • I can’t access my site from any other computer
  • I can’t access the site itself. only the wp-admin area.

I do however manage to load the wp-login.php page but when i try to login I get them same result as with all else.

Could not connect to server. yada yada.

What have I missed?? (obviously I have, somewhere)

Url to my site: http://epreneurglobal.com

Thanks

Have you followed any tutorial on migrating from shared to DO? What webserver do you use? nginx or apache? What configuration have you done to the web server for that site? Have you done any changes in the WP settings? The only thing i can think of right now is that you changed the WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address (URL) in WP settings.

I used this. Followed to the letter.

No changes in Wordpress than the ones in the tutorials.

If you can please open the WP database and locate table options, Check the value of siteurl. Probably is it something else than your domain name.
