Hi There,

I had the same problem minutes ago and then checked my server logs and found this:

  • the python-passlib library wasn’t installed on my server (but you don’t see it on server launch, only when you try to create your database)
  • My linux user didn’t have the rights to create/modify anything in /var/lib/odoo/filestore, I changed it.
  • Hi antoinehuvelle, I have the same ussue, what did you changed exactly? I installed python-passlib but the error is still there.

    Thanks in advance.

    • I’ll tell you how to do it while I won’t recommended though. I didn’t find the directory odoo inside /var/lib so I went inside /var/lib and ran chmod 777 * , restarted the odoo server then it worked.

I install the library python-passlib and it work fine for me.

Thanks antoinehuvelle
