Can I use the passwd command to change my server’s password instead of using reset password option on digitalocean?

  • And is there anything I should do after changing the password to make sure everything works as normal? I also use object caching, could it be affected?

Hi there @Gerrysp,

Yes, you can use the passwd command to change your user password. The password reset option from the control panel can be used in emergency situations when you’ve forgotten the password completely and you don’t have a way to login t your server at all.
