Conecting via private network

Posted on July 12, 2018

Hello!

So I was setting up the firewall in one of the droplets I use for Postgresql with UFW, and when I use the IPv4 value of my App droplet, I’m able to connect just fine, but when I use the private IP, it wont connect at all.

Am I missing something here? halp!

Both droplets are on the same region and on private networks.

Thanks!

Hello friend!

As long as private networking is configured on the server, and the two servers are in the same account, there should be no reason for them to fail to reach each other. Had private networking been enabled on either droplet after it’s creation? If so, a manual configuration is needed to finalize it:
