Hi folks,
I have a vps server with Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS 64-bit with an ip-adres and i have a domain name.
What i want is when you type in the domain in the adresbar, you will get to the vps server. But i want the domain name to remain in the adres bar.
I configured the following settings in my hosting manager:
A record *.domainname.com to vps ip-adres A record domainname.com to vps ip-adres C-name www.domainname.com to domainname.com
Can anyone tell me what i need to do with the dns of the domain name and what i need to do with the vps server?
thank you

Hi, djakie.
this short tutorial should help you: http://stackoverflow.com/a/12654999
Just point your domain name to the DigitalOcean Name servers and setup some web srever on the VPS to serve the content.
You can either point your domain to our DNS servers and create your records via the DNS section of the control panel or you can continue using your current DNS services. If you choose the later you will need to create an A record to point your domain and any subdomains to your droplet’s IP address.
