We have a web application hosted on digital ocean droplet. The claim is that the digital ocean server our application uses is unstable and doesn’t use a static ip, making it unreliable and potentially malicious. Can you offer any information around this claim where we can make either change on our configuration or provide more information to school, so they might be able to share back with their technology department to unblock the tool for use in the high school classroom.

In terms of the IP of your Droplet, it won’t change unless you create a new one. As for the blocked network ranges, I’ve had similar issues with a lot of hosting companies where school networks have blocked them. What can be done is only for your Droplet’s IP address to be allowed, that way no other activity can be done except from your Droplet.
