Django + React Complex Application and Blog on a strong droplet vs separate droplets

Hello, I want to scale my applications and also to build a blog with wordpress on a subdomain of my website. For now, django + react are on the same droplet with load balancing and s3. I would like to integrate an wordpress blog and I wonder what would be the best… to increase the droplet that I have or to create a new one for the blog, and maybe in the feature to integrate xenforo forums on the same droplet with django and react apps.

I would personally keep the things separate and create another Droplet for the WordPress blog so that it is isolated from the main application.

As the blog will be on a separate subdomain, the setup would be straightforward. You would only need to point the A record for the subdomain to the new Droplet’s IP address.

However, if you are not expecting a lot of traffic, it is absolutely fine to run the WordPress website on the same Droplet too. The main thing that you would need to keep in mind is that you would have to install PHP/MySQL/Nginx on your existing Django Droplet so that you could run the WordPress website.
