DNS not resolving after switching registrars and pointint to droplet.

Posted on February 16, 2017

Hello,

I recently transferred a domain away from Wix to google. Now that I have the domain, i am pointing it towards my droplet on digital ocean. However, its been roughly nine hours since then and I’m unable to reach my server via the url still. Whois gives me the correct info, but i cannot actually ping the server

Im wondering if I configured something wrong on my sever using nginx or something. I used this example : https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-django-with-postgres-nginx-and-gunicorn-on-ubuntu-16-04) to set everything up, and i can reach my site via IP address.

I’m stumped right now and I would appreciate any help i could get from those of you who are likely more well versed in this than I am.

thanks in advance
