I currently have a website hosted on a Digital Ocean droplet. The domain name has not been set up yet so it’s only reachable by the IP address. I have recently given the IP address to a few people to beta test the site before I deploy it. I’m in Knoxville, Tennessee, but I was curious about an IP from Fort Collins, Colorado that showed up in the logs–it didn’t seem to be a bot or a one-off hit, it actually clicked through several links on the site.
So my question is: Does Digital Ocean scan or crawl sites that are hosted on your droplets?
