Does the Droplet service have DDoS attack protection, including anti-DDoS flood protection and a firewall?

Yes, you can use the following services:

• Cloud Firewalls: The DigitalOcean Cloud Firewalls are a network-based, stateful firewall service for Droplets provided at no additional cost. Cloud firewalls block all traffic that isn’t expressly permitted by a rule.
• DDoS Protection: This is still in beta and only available to some users, but will soon be available for everyone. In the meantime, I could suggest using Cloudflare as they offer a free DDoS protection service.
