Does the Ubuntu with Wordpress install support HTML/CSS?

Posted July 17, 2014 1.9k views

Greetings folks, I’ve heard a lot about the awesomeness of Digital ocean. Currently an Eleven2 customer, I’m seriously considering about making the switch.

I have an html website but also a wordpress theme and I just wanted to know if the Ubuntu with wordpress droplet can support html? That is, would I be able to host html pages with this droplet or is it strictly limited to only wordpress themes?

Any response is appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, it definitely does. You can add a virtualhost to host another website on it: How To Set Up Apache Virtual Hosts on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

The Apache web server is the most popular way to serve web content on the internet. Apache has the ability to serve multiple domains from a single server by using a mechanism called "virtual hosts". If a virtual host is configured correctly for each domain, the web server can correctly route traffic to the appropriate files based on the domain name requested. In this guide, we'll demonstrate how to configure Apache virtual hosts on an Ubuntu 14.04 VPS.
