I own mywebsite.com through Google Domains.
I am attempting to setup a Wordpress Openlitespeed Ubuntu Droplet with DigitalOcean. (I’m using this process - https://docs.litespeedtech.com/cloud/wordpress/#quick-start)
When I attempt to setup the server and use my domain mywebsite.com, I get an error in the console that reads “mywebsite.com inaccessible, please verify.”.
When I visit the domain in a browser, it redirects to thirdpartywebsite.com (I have no affiliation or familiarity with this website).
When I attempt to “Add a Domain” to my project and use mywebsite.com, I get an error that states “Domain already in use”. It seems like it was possibly hacked and being pointed to a site using DigitalOcean :) .
I own this domain.
How to I verify that I own the domain and take it back from the person who hacked it or is redirecting unintentionally?

Hi @cianipharco,
The best way to handle this would be to contact DigitalOcean support directly, if you are able to provide information you are the owner of the domain, then it should be okay to actually be transferred over to your account.
Another option would be using different nameservers however it’s not ideal and I won’t recommend it.
Anyway the best option would be to reach out to our amazing support team who will be more than happy to assist you with your account issue! :)
