I created a droplet with a 40Gb disk and created a snapshot, I want to create a smaller droplet with that snapshot, at this point it says it is not possible and needs to be the same disk size… how can I do this?? I don’t want to start all over the configuration

I believe if you take a snapshot of the droplet, delete your current droplet AFTER the snapshot has been completed fully you can restore the snapshot and choose to downsize. Hopefully this is correct! PS: You might lose your server’s IP is you do this so if you want to keep the current one don’t do this!
I’m not worried about losing the IP, I just want to be able to use the snapshot in smaller server
I think that doesn’t quite work like that. I did create a snapshot but when i deleted my server, and then re-deployed a new smaller server, there was no snapshot available to restore from
