Droplet randomly disables after some time

Posted on December 23, 2020

Hi. I have a droplet with 2 GB Memory, 50 GB Disk and Windows 10. Everything was working fine but recently the droplet started to randomly disable after a couple of hours. The only thing running on the droplet is a small executable that serves as a server for our game in development. Where could I see the logs to find out what is going on? Do you have any suggestions what should I do?

You shouldn’t be running Windows on DigitalOcean’s infrastructure. DigitalOcean doesn’t support Windows and it can crash at any time. I am pretty sure it’s Windows OS on DO problem, but if you want to look, check your syslog and also look for any cron jobs that might be a factor. A package that can also help with investigation here is sysstat.
