Droplet Scalable?

Posted on May 25, 2021

Newby to Digital Ocean… If I spin up a small WordPress droplet as a test for a low-bandwith website, can I enlarge the droplet at a later date to host other WP sites, with higher bandwidth requirement? Thanks!

Hello, @hgoldbaum

You can always upgrade your droplet’s resources if this is needed in the future, hence you can start with smaller specs and if you want to host more websites you can quickly upgrade the Disk, RAM and CPU to be suitable for your needs.

Thanks very much for these responses. I’m learning more about my new droplet every day.

Hi @hgoldbaum,

You can scale droplets based on your business requirements, but make sure to turn off your droplet when you are planning to resize.
