Question

Droplet was out of service in a sudden

I have been using DO’s droplet to create a VPN for me for three weeks. It performed well and I’m use it 24/7 recently.

However, earlier today, I found out I cannot load into any webpage with the proxy on. This happens both on my phone and laptop, so I guess there’s something wrong with the droplet. Logged in to DO but found no warning signs and everything seems working fine. (Droplet is on/No unpaid charge)

Can everyone help me out with this? ;) Thank you!!

Hi there,

According to the status page here:

https://status.digitalocean.com/

There has been a network maintenance today in NYC1. Could you confirm if you are still seeing the problem?

If you are still seeing the problem, then this would indicate the problem would not be really related to the DigitalOcean infrastructure but the VPN service that you are running on your Droplet itself.

To troubleshoot the problem, you could start by checking the system logs on the server to see if there are any error messages related to the OpenVPN service. Also, make sure that the openvpn service is up and running.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Bobby
