I have an access_key that has full permissions on my S3 buckets, howevery I got operation error S3: ListObjectsV2, (403) api error InvalidAccessKeyId: UnknownError a few whiles ago. I checked the api key page and the key is still there and the permission is full permission. I could not do anything with this key. However, after I created another key that also has full permission and switch to key everything worked. What is going on here? Both keys have full permissions and yet the old one does not work.

Hi there,
That looks like a strange one, if both keys had full permissions and one suddenly stopped working, a few things could be going on.
I just checked DigitalOcean’s status page and there don’t seem to be any incidents reported around Object Storage recently, so it doesn’t look like a widespread issue.
It’s possible the key was silently invalidated or hit some internal edge case. If the new key works fine, that might confirm something went wrong with the old one behind the scenes.
If you’re still curious or want to be sure, I’d recommend reaching out to the DigitalOcean support here: https://do.co/support.
