Hi,
i use DO for my wordpress community website with Ubuntu 14 and managed with server pilot. It works really nice and fast.
I tested the website and the server latency is very low (30ms - 80ms) with a site load speed from amsterdam with 1.16 seconds. This is great.
Otherwise if i test the same website with the domain the server latency is very high (800ms - 4000ms) with a site load speed from amsterdam with 2 - 5 seconds which is very bad.
The higher load time is only affected from waiting of the server.
The Ip-Adress from the server is: 46.101.106.7
and the domain is juststartup.de
I tested some different DNS settings. The first one is that i use the Name Server from DO, but in this configuration i’m not able to use the email client from my Domain provider. The server latency is high like described.
Now i use the setting that i only configured an A record setting on my domain provider to the server ip address. Server latency is also high.
I’m sure that the bug is in the DNS/Domain/Server configuration. Would be great if anyone can help me, how i have to configure or how i can find help.
Thank you in advance.

Hi, the difference in speed looks like the request to the IP address is being served from cache by WP Rocket but the request for the domain name is not being served from cache so it’s hitting PHP. You might want to check your WP Rocket settings or contact WP Rocket support to find out why it’s not hitting the cache when you make the request using the domain name.
Thank you for your answer! :-) Will contact the support from wp-rocket to solve the problem. If i find the solution i will post it here. Thank you very much!
