How can I have bandwidth pooling between droplets ?

Posted on February 6, 2014

Say I have 4 droplets, each with 1TB of billable outgoing transfer. I want to use 1 droplet as a load balancer and the remaining 3 as back end servers.

I want to pay for extra bandwidth only after I reached 4 TB outgoing transfer. Is that possible?

This just doesn’t not make sense. Why don’t you put all this in the FAQ, there are dozens of question about quota, and some of them are missleading. <br>Now to the point in question. Just because you don’t have bandwidth pooling I will stay with linode because It makes no sense to do load balance because we can’t utilize the bandwidth of all the droplets.

I have seen multiple answers to this question… which is it?

Transfer caps will not be pooled across droplets in an account. Each droplet will have its individual transfer cap. Keep in mind that transfer limits are not yet in effect.
