Hi there,

Yes, it is possible to maintain secure connections between your DigitalOcean Droplet and other platforms without exposing them to the public internet. Here are a few ways to achieve this:

  1. Use the DigitalOcean’s VPC to create a private network, ensuring traffic between Droplets does not traverse the public internet. This is a good way of all of your Droplets are hosted on DigitalOcean:

  1. Use DigitalOcean Cloud Firewalls. You can configure a free cloud firewall to restrict access to your Droplets, allowing connections only from specific IP addresses of external providers or other Droplets within your VPC:

  1. Use the OpenVPN Access Server from the DigitalOcean Marketplace to set up a VPN. This enables secure connections between your Droplet and other platforms:

  1. Create SSH tunnels to establish secure connections to your DigitalOcean Droplet, encrypting the traffic and forwarding ports from your local machine or other platforms to the Droplet:

Feel free to share more details about your exact use-case and needs :)

Heya,

I’ll recommend you to check - https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/apps/openvpn-access-server

OpenVPN Access Server offers a web based interface to easily setup and manage your OpenVPN-based VPN server to access private and public resources that is compatible with many platforms, and supports multiple authentication systems.

I think that would be the way to go for you.
