How can I manage a website on digitalocean that belonged to my daughter, who died in a tragic boat fire last September?

Posted on February 18, 2020

digitalocean is hosting [redacted personal information]. Although she died in September, the website remained online until a few weeks ago. It now comes on only with a message from nginx, instead of her web content. How can I take over her account at digitalocean, in order to bring her website back on line?

I created my own digitalocean account for this purpose. My username is [redacted] and my email is [redacted]. Please respond by email to acknowledge this request.

Thank you. Don McLaughlin

Hello @donnodot ,

Sorry to hear that, but there is a way to manage what you want. You can write a ticket to the support team and tell them your demand, and just be able to prove she is your daughter, like show them the PayPal or credit card pay history.Or,if you can control her email camclaug@gmail.com,you can go to https://cloud.digitalocean.com/forgot_password/new to reset the password.

Kind regards, Shiroka
