I have an Ipage domain that I want to host my website on, but I don’t want to use PHP to make the website. I figured I could upload my NodeJS app onto DigitalOcean, which I know how to do, but I couldn’t quite understand how I would redirect the DigitalOcean server to the Ipage domain.
I still haven’t uploaded or bought a DigitalOcean server, and just thought it would be a good idea to ask first.

Yes, this can be achieved in one of these two ways:
You could add an A DNS record to your iPage DNS zone. The A record needs to point to your DigitalOcean Droplet IP address. That way you will point the domain to your DigitalOcean server but the DNS will still be managed via iPage
Alternatively, if you wish you could change your nameservers to the DigitalOcean ones, and then add your domain name under your DigitalOcean account. That way you will be able to manage the DNS records for your domain name directly via your DigitalOcean DNS zone
Hope that this helps and let me know if you have any questions! Regards, Bobby
