Question

How do I create an A record in Zeit Now to point to Digital Ocean droplet?

I have a domain crownd.app from Godaddy that I have changed its nameservers to point to Zeit Now and whose DNS is now managed by Zeit Now.

I would like to use api.crownd.app as a subdomain. I have a Digital Ocean droplet with ip address: 178.128.168.239 and have added an A record to Zeit Now for the subdomain api.crownd.app to point to 178.128.168.239 and this has been successfully added - https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/api.crownd.app

However, when I visit api.crownd.app it just times out.

Is this possible? Or am I doing something wrong?

Hi

I am also facing same problem

My domain theflowai.com from Godaddy that I have changed its nameservers to point to Zeit Now and whose DNS is now managed by Zeit Now.

I would like to use api.theflowai.com as a subdomain. I have a Digital Ocean droplet with ip address and have added an A record to Zeit Now for the subdomain api.theflowai.com to point DO IP and this has been successfully added - https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/api.theflowai.com

However, when I visit api.theflowai.com it just times out.

Is this possible? Or am I doing something wrong?

I am using Ngnix for a Python based app. Also I can access my DO site using IP,but my subdomain doesn’t respond.

Hi mate, when I visit api.crownd.app I see what looks like your app query console. Hopefully it came good for you in the past hour somewhere. Thanks for being on team Shark! 💙🦈
