I have two identical droplets running right now (both are basic linux distros that I’m hosting a wordpress instance on), main and beta. What I want to do is replace the currently-active beta droplet with a recent snapshot of the main droplet, to effectively rake and reset the beta sandbox to represent our current production machine.
Is there any simple way to do this? The main server has backups running regularly, and in an ideal world those backup images would be visible as “restore from snapshot” targets or something similar. I suppose I could always just snapshot the main, destroy the current beta, new from the main’s snapshot, or something like that. That process causes DNS hiccups and stuff, though.

Go to Destroy (you are not really destroying it), then the Rebuild tab, select the snapshot from the other droplet in the images dropdown, then Rebuild from image. You keep the IP address.
There is! Go to the droplet you want to replace ( beta ), and go to snapshots > Restore from snapshot, and select the main snapshot.
Example Here
http://imgur.com/J37owz9
@eric, did this work for you? I would like to do the same thing but the snapshot from one droplet aren’t shown as restore options on the other.
