I have a blog for my website that I’m hosting on another provider using WordPress - http://theyfindmeblog.peterscheffer.com/
What I would like to do is have my DigitalOcean subdomain “how” point to that URL without having to redirect to it. I have created a CNAME to point to it for my theyfind.me droplet - how : theyfindmeblog.peterscheffer.com.
But the only way I can get it to work at the HostGator end is to create a redirect. Because otherwise HostGator is seeing a request for how.theyfind.me. I don’t want a redirect, I want how.theyfind.me to show the WordPress blog on the other host.
I’m running Ubuntu, and have Meteor using port 80 on my Droplet.

Hi Scott,
That is what they appear to have done, except that it redirects to the URL. I’m looking for a solution where the end URL remains as how.theyfind.me and not theyfindmeblog.peterscheffer.com.
They have an A record pointing to the forwarding IP, and then a redirect from how.theyfind.me to theyfindmeblog.peterscheffer.com in the control panel.
Is there a way of setting it up so that the end URL is how.theyfind.me?
