How do I run my Flask App from the main IP address (not a port)?

Posted on February 19, 2015

I have followed all the steps here: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-deploy-a-flask-application-on-an-ubuntu-vps

But my Flask app will still not run.

It runs when I run python main.py from the console, but then it only appears at 111.11.11.11:5000

How do I run the Flask App from my own domain?

Hi Davidx,

I created the new record as you said. Now yourdomain.com and 111.11.11.11 both go to the Ubuntu Default Page. Should I be using Nginx or gunicorn?

Try create a new DNS record in your domain console. A record, www subdomain => 111.11.11.11. After that, try visiting yourdomain.com
