How is the user to access phpmyadmin

Posted on May 27, 2016

I create my droplet chosing phpmyadmin via “one-click apps”.

I can not access in any way.

In console I get: Access denied for user ‘root’@‘localhost’ (using password: NO)

Via Web also can not access with my droplet username and password.

How to proceed?

Thanks

Use “phpmyadmin” instead of “root” as user.

I installed phpMyAdmin through access console using

sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin apache2-utils

I had no clue what my username and password was and digital ocean has to doc. for this (Or maybe i’ve not seen it)

i used ‘root’ as username and password i created during PMA as password. could not get logged in through https://IP_Address/PMA

jmrobado answer worked for me just now.

I use username as ‘phpmyadmin’ and password i created and it logged in fine. Really great
